How to use SHIZHAN Stage Truss
1. Preparation before the performance
Understand the stage layout
Before using the stage, you must first be familiar with the size, shape, entrance and exit locations of the stage, and the distribution of various facilities and equipment on the stage. For example, if it is a rectangular stage, it is necessary to clarify the location of the main performance area and the secondary performance area; understand the location of the side curtains on both sides of the stage so that the actors can quickly get on and off the stage when needed.
Be familiar with the height of the stage, which is especially important for performances such as dance performances and acrobatics that require height factors. At the same time, check whether the floor of the stage is flat and whether there are any obstacles to ensure the safety of the performance.
Communicate with the technical team
If the performance involves technical requirements such as lighting, sound, and special effects, communicate with the technical team in advance. Clarify the process and requirements of the performance and jointly develop a design plan for lighting and sound. For example, at a concert, communicate with the sound engineer about the sound effects and volume of the instruments; and determine the color, intensity, and timing of changes in the lights for different performances with the lighting engineer.
Carry out technical rehearsals to ensure that the lighting, sound, special effects, etc. are perfectly coordinated with the performance. During the rehearsal process, problems should be discovered and adjusted in a timely manner to ensure the smooth progress of the formal performance.
2. Use in performances
Make full use of stage space
According to the content and form of the performance, make reasonable use of various areas of the stage. For drama performances, the stage can be divided into different scene areas, and rich dramatic effects can be created through the actors' movements and scene switching. For example, in a costume drama, different scene areas such as palaces, courtyards, and battlefields can be set up, and the actors perform in different areas to make the audience feel immersive.
Dance performances can make full use of the depth and width of the stage, and show the dynamic beauty of dance through changes in formations and the movement of dancers. For example, in modern dance performances, dancers can move quickly from one side of the stage to the other, or perform difficult rotations in the center of the stage, making full use of the stage space to enhance the visual impact of the performance.
Interact with the audience
The stage truss is not only a display space for performers, but also a platform for interaction with the audience. Performers can establish connections with the audience through eye contact, language interaction, body movements, etc. For example, singers can interact with the audience during singing and invite the audience to sing together; actors can walk to the edge of the stage during the performance and interact closely with the front row audience to enhance the audience's sense of participation.
Adjust the direction and intensity of the performance according to the performance venue and the distribution of the audience. If it is a four-sided stage, the audience in all directions can be taken care of; if the auditorium is large, the intensity and sound of the performance can be appropriately increased to ensure that the audience can clearly see and hear the performance.
3. Cleaning up after the performance
Organize stage props and equipment
After the performance, the props and equipment on the stage should be sorted out in time. Sort the props and place them in designated locations for next use. For example, sort out the costumes and props in the drama performance separately and put them in the corresponding boxes or cabinets; keep the musical instruments in the music performance properly to prevent damage.
Check whether the stage equipment, such as lighting and sound, is turned off normally. Ensure the safety of the equipment to avoid accidents. At the same time, clean up the debris and garbage on the stage to keep the stage clean.
Summarize with the team
After the performance, summarize with the performance team and the technical team. Review the advantages and disadvantages during the performance, listen to the feedback from the audience, and provide lessons learned for the next performance. For example, a summary meeting can be organized to let the actors, directors, technicians, etc. express their opinions and suggestions respectively, and jointly discuss how to improve the quality and effect of the performance.
According to the results of the summary, the use of the stage and the performance process are adjusted and improved. Continuously improve the performance, improve the efficiency of the stage and the artistic value.
The use of stage trusses requires full preparation before the performance, give full play to the advantages of the stage during the performance, and clean up and summarize in time after the performance to ensure that every performance can achieve the best results.
